Coffee has become like liquid gold. Coffee is an important part to most people’s start, middle and end of their day. I would describe it as a ‘craze’. A very expensive routine in most people’s lives. Having said that though, coffee is delicious and brings people together. Most social gatherings these days include coffee so it is really important to know where to go to get the good stuff! I just need to clarify when I say ‘the good stuff‘, I do not mean the ‘well known, branded, mass produced, vile, burnt, and overly priced coffee chains’ (Starbucks, Nero, Costa etcetera). What I am talking about are the little ‘quaint, peaceful, beautifully brewed liquid gold – real coffee’.

Speciality coffee shops will not have ‘big-in-your-face branding’, and you will not find them on every corner. You will have to go and find these beautiful shops. In the 2 years that I have been living in Dublin, this is a list of the speciality coffee shops that I would recommend in Dublin, Ireland, that you NEED to go and visit:

Coffee drinking is more than a morning ritual: it’s a social thing. Coffee brings people together — neighbors over a morning cup, spouses at the kitchen table, co-workers in the latte line.
